Anthony Grooms (2003)

Poet, short story writer, novelist, and two-time recipient of the Lillian Smith Award honoring authors whose writing centers around social inequities, Anthony Grooms came of age in the South during the Civil Rights movement, and its influence and experience permeate his work.
