"The Mother of Exiles" by Emily Ruehs-Navarro

Emily Ruehs-Navarro is an assistant professor of sociology at Elmhurst University, where she teaches on global issues of inequality. She has worked on issues of migration in various capacities, including as a researcher, case manager, and volunteer. She is the author of the book Unaccompanied: The Plight of Immigrant Youth at the Border, which is forthcoming from New York University Press. She lives in Chicago, Illinois.
