James Harris is a black, Mexican, and white writer who works as an English teacher at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. He is an M.F.A. student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City focusing on writing speculative fiction. He resides in Lawrence, Kansas, where he and his wife, Jenny, fend off two demon cats named Todd and Ladybird.
