"Operative O" by Tamas Dobozy

Tamas Dobozy has published three books of short fiction, When X Equals Marylou (Arsenal Pulp, 2002), Last Notes and Other Stories (HarperCollins Canada/Arcade, 2005), and, most recently, Siege 13: Stories (Thomas Allen/Milkweed, 2012), which won the 2012 Rogers Writers Trust of Canada Fiction Prize, and was shortlisted for both the Governor General’s Award: Fiction, and the 2013 Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. He is the recipient of an O. Henry Award (2011) and the Gold Medal for Fiction at the National Magazine Awards (2014). He has published over seventy short stories in journals such as One Story, Fiction, Agni, and Granta. He is a professor in the department of English and film studies at Wilfrid Laurier University and lives in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
