Xánath Caraza II

The second part of our interview with poet Xánath Caraza features her two books that won second place in the 2019 International Latino Book Awards: her short story collection, Metztli, and her bilingual poetry book, Hudson, that reflects the famous river in New York. While in front of an audience at the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, she shares how water inspires her writing and reveals more about her creative process and life. Caraza also reads from her 2016 collection Donde la Luz es Violeta/Where the Light is Violet.
