Dennis Finnell

Winner of the 2012 Bellday Prize for his fourth book of poetry, Pie 8, Dennis Finnell discusses his unique approach to composing this work and how it differs from his 2014 collection, Ruins Assembling. In this interview with New Letters magazine editor Robert Stewart, Finnell talks about reflecting on memories through poetry. A longtime resident of Massachusetts, Finnell was born and raised in St. Louis; he discusses his relationship with his hometown, as well as the importance of finding meaning and value in life through language.
