J.A. Gray is a writer, professor, and fairly nice person from Birmingham, Alabama. He received an M.F.A. and many snowy memories from the University of Montana. His work has previously appeared in Narrative and Meridian. He lives in Jackson, Tennessee, and teaches English at Lane College.
