"Classic Studies" by Kirstin Scott

Kirstin Scott’s story “Classic Studies” is part of a novel-in-progress. She is the author of Motherlunge (New Issues, 2013), which won the AWP Prize for the Novel, was a Publisher’s Weekly Pick of the Week, and a finalist for the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize. Her short stories have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, PANK, Sonora Review, The Cimarron Review and elsewhere. She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
